Bobbi Snethen
Director of Marketing & Communications
Bobbi Snethen has spent more than 15 years helping nonprofits tell their stories and make a bigger impact. As the Director of Marketing and Communications at the Clean Slate Initiative, she puts her expertise to work designing strategies that amplify missions, connect with stakeholders, and drive real change.
Before joining Clean Slate, Bobbi co-led CauseMic, a Portland-based nonprofit consultancy, as its President. There, she worked with dozens of organizations like the Surfrider Foundation, Mercy Corps, and World Bicycle Relief to craft campaigns that boosted visibility, strengthened donor relationships, and unlocked new funding opportunities.
Before transitioning to consulting, Bobbi played a pivotal role in scaling the annual revenue of Team Rubicon, an international humanitarian aid organization, from $1 million to $40 million while leading integrated marketing campaigns and expanding media reach. Earlier in her career, she managed public relations for the American Red Cross in Wisconsin and Iowa, earning national recognition for campaigns that boosted blood donations during critical shortages.
A proud Midwesterner, Bobbi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Strategic Communication from the University of Wisconsin. Outside of work, she can be found coaching youth basketball, savoring Portland’s food scene, wandering the region’s endless hiking trails, or convincing her husband that their home has room for "just one more" rescue pet.
