Dear [most amazing boss],

I would like to kindly ask for your approval to attend the Clean Slate Initiative’s Second Annual Convening that will be taking place in Oklahoma City, OK, on June 8–9th. This is a unique opportunity to engage with individuals who play key roles in the Clean Slate Movement. Clean Slate is becoming a more commonly discussed model for implementing commonsense policies that create transformational changes in people’s lives through automated record clearance. The work of Clean Slate impacts the economy, community safety, workforce development, and much more.

There are many conferences happening this year, but I’ve selected this one because I feel that the opportunities for discussions and professional development are precisely what our organization needs to do our part to advance this impactful movement. [Insert specific skills that will be developed related to your role]

The Clean Slate Initiative’s Second Annual Convening is intentionally structured as an intimate space to foster networking and practical sessions for key takeaways. They have worked to ensure the conference is accessible and transformational. The cost is $xx and includes xx. Overall the Convening is a key opportunity to connect, learn, and find our part in the Clean Slate movement and I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to attend.
